Exceedingly Rare! Original 1972 'LET IT ROCK' label Wembley t shirt
Size approximately 18" armpit to armpit. Has a pink hue as someone must have washed it with red clothing back in the day. This was the tee that really made everything happen for Vivienne Westwood. Malcolm McLaren wanted to set up a stall at this huge gig at Wembley in 1972 featuring the old rockers like Little Richard, and they printed up these tees in the belief they would sell them all easily. But they failed. So they were stuck with them. This is when Vivienne thought about how to turn them into sonething else, making them into knickers and customising them as deconstructed tees with the little plastic pockets and zippers and putting holes in them, etc. Extremely rare to find with original label.
